WHAT MATERIAL TO BUILD SAUNA?
The tannins in cedar make it naturally rot-resistant. It is a soft wood the diffuses heat so that it is comfortable to sit on. AnD it has naturally pleasant fragrance.
BEST MATERIAL
We use only a “sauna-select” grade of clear cedar measuring 17/32" for wall and ceiling lining. All saunas have only 2 x 4 “sauna-select” grade, clear cedar for bench construction.
IS IT HARD TO BUILD?
Saunas are one the easiest of “at home” projects. Most can be built over the weekend
